DESIGN PROCESS
STAGE 1 - CLIENT VISIT
We book an appointment to visit your garden and discuss what you need help with. The first meeting is always free of charge. The meeting normally takes about 1.5 hour.
STAGE 2 - SITE ANALYSIS
We always carry out a site survey. This fee is not part of the design fee. If it is a small flat garden we measure up the garden and make visual records on site. For a larger site with elevations, structures and buildings etc. a full topographical survey will be carried out by a professional surveyor.
STAGE 3 - CONCEPT
We always start a new project by collecting ideas and drawing sketches. We create a client brief and present a moodboard to visualise our concept for your new garden.
STAGE 4 - DRAWINGS
After the concept has been agreed we produce a masterplan and make 2D and 3D drawings. 3D drawings help you to visualise what your garden will look like.
Once the Masterplan is approved we produce technical drawings which induces dimension plans, level change, cross sections etc . If the design needs any construction work (i.e. a pergola, retaining walls etc.) we will produce relevant construction drawings.
A lighting plan will be composed to ensure the garden is beautifully lit at night.
Our design work includes a full planting plan. A planting plan is a layout which tells you where the plants will be positioned in the garden.
STAGE 5 - BUILDING THE GARDEN
Once the design is completed we appoint a professional team of gardeners that will implement the design. We also source plants and suppliers for materials and installations. During the build of the garden we are available for project inspections, meetings, follow ups etc, which is essential to ensure the garden is built to our specifications.
