Nestled in the breathtaking Tramuntana mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this historic 100-acre estate offers panoramic 360 views and a truly remarkable setting. The garden had a strong structural foundation but the owners wanted to elevate it with luxury garden design that would bring greater cohesion, beauty, and year-round interest while making the outdoor spaces more sustainable and environmentally sensitive.
Our approach focused on enhancing the Mediterranean planting design around the home, introducing a wide variety of plants to create texture, seasonal color and visual depth. By replacing large areas of traditional lawn with drought-tolerant planting we reduced water use and maintenance while giving each area its own unique character. This shift also aligned with the natural landscape of Mallorca blending the garden seamlessly into its surroundings.
A key feature of the project was the creation of two distinct garden rooms, designed as destinations within the landscape. One was transformed into a peaceful reflective gravel garden perfect for quiet contemplation while the other was envisioned as a striking sculpture garden, bringing art and structure into the space.
From carefully placed exclusive pottery at the entrance and driveway to softened stone walls and redesigned pathways, every detail was considered to enhance the flow and experience of this Mediterranean garden.
The result is a timeless Mediterranean garden that combines elegance, sustainability, and functionality. A landscape that reflects the beauty the historic Tramuntana setting and provides year-round enjoyment for its owners.
