A newly built family home with a formal existing garden along the terraces that primarily consisted of a strip of lawn and some trees close to the house. Through the introduction of our beautiful Mediterranean planting scheme, luxury ceramic pottery and thoughtfully arranged planting beds, the terraces were transformed into a welcoming and vibrant garden.
A key focus of the project was to connect the house to the wider landscape below the terrace. To achieve this, selected areas of the sloping field below the house were transformed into Mediterranean planting beds suitable for the arid climate and enjoyable in the summer. Undulating gravel pathways create an organic flow through the space while Mediterranean drought-tolerant shrubs and trees anchor the planting and guide movement.
At the heart of the field is a cozy fire pit, serving as a focal point and evening enjoyment.
Another important aspect was the long driveway leading to the house. Mediterranean planting along the approach enhances the sense of arrival and provides a welcoming introduction to the property, while luxury ceramic pottery sited around the terraces and at the front door reinforces the Mediterranean character of the home.
The garden is beautifully illuminated with strategically placed lighting highlighting key planting and pathways ensuring the spaces can be fully enjoyed in the evening.
The result is a luxury Mediterranean garden that links the house to the landscape. An outdoor living space that is visually engaging and enjoyable year-round.
