Location: Coastline with strong winds, strong sun and salt spray
Size: 180 m2
This top-floor flat in Palma, Mallorca, came with a large, dated terrace from the 1970s, originally part of a hotel. The young family wanted to transform it into a beautiful, functional outdoor living space that fully showcased the stunning 360° views of Palma and the Mediterranean Sea.
We created defined zones for seating and dining, using low-maintenance Mediterranean plants that withstand sun and wind, and screening greenery to enhance privacy from neighbors. Careful attention to materials, planting, and safety turned the terrace into an inviting retreat, perfectly blending style, comfort, and the island’s natural beauty.
