VINEYARD ESTATE

Sierra de Tramontana, Mallorca
Coming soon

We were asked to create a new garden in an area of 5 600 m2 in a privileged setting which forms a part of a larger estate of 50 000 m2. The finca, a former farm, is nestled at the base of the Tramontana mountains with a vineyard.

Our clients asked for a Mediterranean garden that could be used for lounging along with a vegetable garden and fruit orchard. An accessory road divides the new garden from the vineyard which needed to be incorporated into the design to unite the two areas without becoming too dominant. Olive, cypress, pine and crape myrtle trees create a vertical plane that blends the stunning backdrop of the surrounding mountains. The cultivated garden will include a mix of long flowering perennials and ornamental grasses and roses. Beyond one moves through a labyrinth of ornamental grasses and into the dry, gravel garden with olive trees. The full view of the vineyard can be seen here under the shade of the olive trees. The back part of the garden contains raised vegetable and herb beds surrounded by fruit trees.
